The snake is completely washable so you can re-use it over and over again. The boresnake bore cleaner has 160 times more cleaning area than a standard patch, making for a cleaner bore in less time.
 
The brass-weight on the end of the cord is stamped with the bore size and slips easily down the barrel. The snake has no exposed metal parts to damage the internal bore or breech of your shotgun barrel. This is an excellent product to use at home, at the range or out in the field.
 
The boresnake may be tight fitting when new. If it is difficult to pull through the bore, it may be easier to step on the exposed end of the pull cord and hold it while pulling your shotgun slowly in an upwards direction.
